Twisted Nematic (TN) Technology:
Twisted Nematic technology is one of the earliest and simplest types of LCD technology. It uses liquid crystals that "twist" when an electrical field is applied, controlling the flow of light through the display.
The TN liquid crystal layer is sandwiched between two polarizing filters. When a voltage is applied to the liquid crystals, they align in a way that changes the amount of light passing through, turning a segment on or off.
TN displays are known for their fast response times but are typically limited in viewing angles and contrast compared to newer technologies.
